Best value GPU per frame right now

6 min readUpdated July 2026

We rank every current card by real cost-per-frame at 1440p and 4K so you know where the sweet spot sits this month.

Value in a graphics card isn't the sticker price — it's the price you pay per frame you actually get. Divide the live low price by the frames a card delivers at your target resolution, and you get a single, comparable number. That's the metric worth chasing, not the sticker price in isolation.

The short version
Right now the sweet spot sits with upper-midrange cards — you pay a small premium over budget parts for a large jump in frames.

Flagship cards will always cost more per frame; you're paying for headroom, VRAM and the highest resolutions. If you're on 1440p and chasing high-refresh, the mainstream-to-high-end tier is where your money works hardest.

When to pull the trigger

Watch the 90-day trend on your shortlist. A card sitting near its 90-day low with a flat or falling line is a good shot. Set a target and let the alert do the waiting — patience is the whole game.

On the deals page, sort by price and scan the 90-day trend next to each listing — a card that's cheap today and trending down is a stronger buy than one that's merely cheap today. Cross-reference VRAM and card length against your case and PSU before you commit; the best price-per-frame in the world is worthless if the card doesn't fit.
